About Dr. Etoung:
Dr. E. Etoung is the founder of Motivational Medicine and a specialist in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology/Proctology
Dr. Etoung is an experienced physician through his many years of professional practice. He comes from a family in which shamanism, holistic healing, philosophy, and success have played an important role.
From an early age, he was trained in various different ways of seeing, thinking, and healing techniques.
This also influenced his later professional career.
Dr. Etoung was early on looking for tangible evidence,
that man's strength lies in his body.
This motivation led him first to study biology in Cameroon and later to study human medicine in Germany.
In the end, the knowledge that his father and his environment had imparted to him,
as well as the knowledge acquired in universities and the later in professional practice brought him to the following result:
The cell, as the smallest independent unit of the life, is the best teacher.
After more than 15 years of clinical experience and senior medical activities, as a holistically active internist, he realized that most of the people he treated were not satisfied with their lives. This even triggered in some organic complaints, which were often the cause of hospitalization.
In the course of his professional career, Dr. Etoung developed his own concept of medical interviewing in order to advise both sick and healthy people on how to recognize their potential and develop their personality in order to lead their lives more consciously, privately, or professionally. This motivational interviewing has already given many hospitalized "patients" a new awareness in dealing with their lives and their bodies. Due to the very good response from the "patients" in the department of coloproctology of the Marien-Hospital Bottrop,
where severely ill people with ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and colorectal carcinoma were treated, Dr. Etoung conducted the first non-randomized study in the context of pre- and post-operative treatment. This concept goes far beyond the scope of the medical practice.
Dr. Etoung subsequently presented this so-called MotiMed® concept with great acclaim at a business forum in New Hamsphire, USA, in 2013. The concept subsequently was published in a peer-reviewed journal article in 2015.
